My love is the mountains, particularly the mountains of Wyoming, and I am developing a new love for the southeast as I split time between Wyoming and Tennessee.  I began practicing yoga in 1993 and have been teaching since 2007.  I got serious about Ayurveda and moved to Albuquerque, NM to study at the Ayurvedic Institute with Dr. Vasant Lad and graduated in 2020.  I currently study with the California College of Ayurveda on track to become an Ayurvedic Doctor.  

I love climbing, gravel biking, running trails, and the true essence of yoga.  In an effort to provide a community place to nourish the mind, body and soul, I opened and ran a yoga studio for almost a decade before selling.  As a teacher as well as a student, I love the combination of an in-person as well as an online model.  I wanted this new business to be a way for us all to connect on a broader scope and enjoy all that life has to offer us - family, community, career, play and health.  Life is busy.  Yoga is meant to bring more joy and health to people in a manner that is most suiting to each individual.  Whether someone enjoys having a very full life or a simplified life, there is something that yoga and Ayurveda can offer to help encourage as much joy and health as possible.  I am here to help you find the right balance to find your optimal health or performance with whatever you have going on in your life.

Moving my body physically in the mountains and wild places lights up my soul! I love trail/mountain running, mountain biking, skiing, backpacking, rock climbing, and paddle boarding. My personal yoga practice has helped me maintain mobility and prevent injuries that may come with these activities. It has also been crucial in helping me uphold positive mental health and move through the stresses of everyday life with ease. I believe yoga is about healing and transformation. Yoga changes you which in turn changes your life.  

I have been a practitioner of yoga for over 15 years and a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance since 2019 (Sylvia was one of my teachers for my 200-hour…best decision I ever made!). I received my MSW from the University of Wyoming in 2012 and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I was an Elementary School Counselor for 10 years and left the profession in 2022 to make my life yoga and yoga therapy. Currently, I am a Yoga Therapist in Training and working towards my certification through an 800 Yoga Therapy program with Inner Peace Yoga Therapy out of Durango, CO. Inner Peace is an accredited school of yoga therapy with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).  I am certified in Advanced Assessment and Therapeutic Planning in Functional Yoga Therapy completed with Maria Shamas.

I currently reside in Rock Springs, WY. Come practice with me in person at Elements Integrative Wellness Center!
